Outpost19
is an award-winning
book publisher.

We're committed to delivering provocative reading. Fiction, memoirs, essays, collections. The artful argument. The story you don't want to stop.

Jon Roemer serves as publisher/senior editor in San Francisco. He spoke recently on the Editors' Picks panel at Library Journal's Day of Dialogue before exhibiting at BookExpo 2017. His writing has appeared at The Writer, OZY, San Francisco Chronicle Book Review, 3:AM and elsewhere. Jon studied literature and fiction writing at Northwestern and Arizona and has developed creative projects for a handful of Fortune 100 companies.

Our annual anthology of California writing engages a new editor each year. Lisa Locascio edited Golden State 2017: The Best New Writing from California. Sarah LaBrie edited the 2016 edition, and J. Ryan Stradal edited the 2014 anthology, both of which were titled California Prose Directory. The series was originally conceived and edited by Charles McLeod in 2013.

Foreign and translation rights for Outpost19 titles are represented worldwide by Judy Klein/Kleinworks.
